Re-body Update

In my quest to find matching articulated bodies for Skipper and Courtney, I got the Hayden and Katie Making Waves Liv dolls (I already had the original Sophie and Daniela) in the hopes that they might match.  But, to my disappointment, none of them did.  The heads are too pink.

So Skipper AA is still left with her friends as heads only, or maybe I could re-body them on the Liv bodies and make them wear turtlenecks for the rest of their lives.  I don't know.

I also re-bodied the Christie I had previously put on an old Princess Tiana straight-legged body onto the new articulated knee body.  I then gave the old body to one head of two that I have kept for several years.  It was from a cheap plastic body.  All her hair has since disintegrated, so she is currently bald.

And what about their wigs?  Well, I didn't know that they might be able to fit Monster High!  I had some fun trying them on dolls that still have their hair.
"Okay, so do I look like a blonde bombshell?"

 "Really?"

All was not lost, though, as I took the opportunity to re-body Sun Colors Nakoma and Barbie in a Mermaid Tale's brunette friend.

And last, but not least, some of my Tonner girls wanted to say:

"Thanks, Liv!"

  1. Yes,it is hard to get good colour matches with the Liv bodies and Barbie heads - I guess it's only to be expected as they are two different companies. The one Barbie I have rebodied so far looks like she is wearing very heavy makeup. Love the idea of the wigs on the Monster High dolls - I'll have to try that.
